2011 Circle of Honour Philanthropy Awards

The Huronia Community Foundation encourages you to celebrate philanthropy in our community by nominating a deserving person or group to be recognized for their philanthropic contributions. Any resident or anyone of the community may submit the nomination of a deserving person or group for this Award in one of the following categories:
Review the categories, complete the questionnaire and submit your nomination by April 1st , 2011 to: Huronia Community Foundation, 357 King Street, Midland ON L4R 3M7 or by email: info@huroniacommunityfoundation.com.

o Business Award

This Award is to be presented in recognition of a Huronia Community business that has demonstrated outstanding financial support and community involvement in philanthropic causes. Motivation of others to take leadership roles will also be recognized.


o Philanthropic Group Award

This Award is to be presented in recognition of a Huronia Community Service Club, Religious Organization, Not-for-Profit Organization or Granting Foundation that has demonstrated outstanding commitment through financial support and through encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward local philanthropy.


o Individual Award

This Award is to be presented in recognition of a Huronia Community individual philanthropist for his/her exceptional financial commitment to our community and their skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for fundraising projects for the benefit of local charitable causes.


o Youth or Youth Group Award

This Award is to be presented in recognition of outstanding leadership in fundraising on the part of a Huronia Community youth (5 to 18 years of age) or a college or university student. This Award will foster the next generation of philanthropic leaders and will help to broaden public awareness of the importance of giving.


Nomination & Submission Criteria

Please read all four questions before beginning the nomination and complete all of the questions. Where appropriate please include specific examples while completing each section. The nomination should be limited to two pages.
