TALL SHIPS ® 1812 Tour Event an Outstanding Success at Discovery Harbour!


Assistant Deputy Minister Morah Fenning raises a “Celebrate Peace” flag with Huronia Historical Parks General Manager Jan Gray (right) as part of the official Opening Ceremony at Discovery Harbour to start the TALL SHIPS ® 1812 Tour event.  Over 5,500 people visited Discovery Harbour the weekend of August 24-25 and enjoyed on-deck visits aboard Discovery Harbour’s own Tall Ships H.M.S. Tecumseth and Bee, plus guest American ships Lynx and Friends Good Will.  The spectacular event also featured the newly opened H.M.S. Tecumseth Centre, live music, children’s heritage crafts and games, marine artisans, and much moreDiscovery Harbour is currently open to September 1, and then open for extended Fall dates Thursday to Sunday September 5-8 and September 12-1
